David is a J.D. student in his final year at Osgoode Hall Law School. He holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in political science from the University of Alberta.

David has distinguished himself in his first two years at law school, earning course prizes in administrative law, torts, and constitutional law as well as several awards for overall academic performance. Passionate about oral and written advocacy, David has been an active mooter, including as a member of Osgoode’s team for the Cassels Brock Cup – a criminal law moot – where the team won the overall competition, and he and his partner were the Top Appellants.

Prior to law school, David spent several years building a national non-profit organization whose mandate was to counter and prevent hate and extremism. In this role, David published widely on topics related to violent extremism and hate and presented his research before a variety of audiences including at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., the Department of Political and International Relations at Oxford University, and Canadian Joint Operations Command.
